Homestay in カナダ, Calgary
A bit about my family and me, I am an elementary school teacher and I am interested in opening my home to an international guest. I enjoy learning about other cultures and I'm also hoping to share Canadian culture with a new life-long friend! I have a 6 year old daughter and she is very friendly and outgoing. We have been hosting students since July 1st, 2019.
I have a bi-level house with 2 bedrooms upstairs and 2 bedrooms down. The bedrooms I am offering to students are located downstairs and the washroom is just steps away. The bedrooms and bathroom have full sized windows, that let in a lot of natural light. The bedrooms have new carpeting and large closets.
It's a quick commute from my house the downtown language schools. I have hosted students from Stafford House and Global Village and they told me it takes them about 25 minutes to get to school. I live near a train station and it is also a fairly quick commute to SAIT, the University of Calgary, Western Canada High School and Crescent Heights High School.
Please note, I can only accept female students. Also, I have some experience working with international students from teaching summer courses about 14 years ago. I also taught English in Japan for 2 years, and so I know what it's like to be a fish out of water! If you are interested in staying at my house I can send you more photos and my house rules.
